We were so amazed when our son, a Korean, was admitted to every one of his desired private college preparatory high schools in the United States. When we asked Renita to help us, we did not know he would succeed to this extent. She helped us with the admission essays, checked the English, and explained to us what to expect in our interviews. She even came with us and got us an interview at the last minute. Our son was able to choose which school he wanted! – J. A., Seoul, Korea
Renita is not only a good communicator, but gets what you are talking about. She has helped me to see the situation clearly time and again. - Mark Solomon, television writer/producer
After just one session, I came up with the answers I needed. - Dr. Patrick Hurley, D.C.
“Know thyself, and to thyself be true!” I never really fully understood how to get to this place of self-understanding. After our session “Aha!” the light went on. “Oh, this is why I respond to life as I do.” After 78 years of feeling somewhat confused about my true identity, I feel FREE. I am free to enjoy the uniqueness of my Being. - Margaretha Braun (79 years old)
Working non-profit volunteers, Wellman has a real understanding of groups and process. - Award-winning Director, Artistic Director and co-founder of the Ojai Film Festival, Steve Grumette
I found my work with Renita Wellman to be like a sneaker wave: our session seemed like a sunny day at the beach, but the results grabbed me from behind when I wasn’t looking. Wellman’s technique is friendly and unassuming. I actually held out little expectation for results, so I when I looked up from my much-changed life months later, I realized the roots of that change were in the narrative work with Wellman. Interestingly, we did all the work long-distance, by phone, so it is possible for anyone any place in the world to connect with Renita in this fascinating and mysterious work. I recommend her without reservation. - Sandy Jensen, Writer, professor, scholar
Leadership mentoring is as effective as the ability to be led. Renita C. Wellman is led by what she sees, hears and intuits. She listens! Instead of cleverly trying to impose pre-determined strategies, Ms. Wellman creates with her clients a new vision. Collaboration is everything. - Stan Grindstaff, MFA
I often use my childhood memories as material. Working with Renita was truly a departure from re-entering the past. In one session, what had been burdensome became interesting and began to feed my writing. I recommend Renita’s work. – L. P., playwright/director
I found Renita’s questions to be very much to the mark, and I enjoyed being in an atmosphere where I could be completely honest. - S. W., Ph.D., Psychology
when i was barely 18 i gave birth to a child, a girl, whom i was forced to give up for adoption. this young woman searched for me for 20 years and finally found me, to my alternate fear and glee; an unsettling combination. i spoke to renita concerning my trepidation at forming a bond with a daughter i had never spoken to nor seen, and her words were so sensible and constructive that she put me at my ease and enabled me to turn off the fear and move along with my relationship with my daughter, naimh. we have since spent a weekend together, we will go to san diego for a conference together in january and are planning a girl-trip to new york for a three day weekend in the spring, and all is as it should be. without renita’s wisdom and guidance, i might possibly have missed all this love and closeness…i might never have been amazed at how alike we are in speech patterns, habits and responses to different stimuli. and i would have missed a lot of giggling….the best part of all. thank you, renita!
