On a gentle morning before sunrise I went for a walk in a meadow and recorded this intermittent bird trill on my iPhone. As it started to rain, the bird kept singing. It was a lovely 3 minutes listening to the soft sounds of rain on earth and the bird communicating his enjoyment. If you play the recording and look at the photo I took from where I stood (also with my iPhone) you may get a sense of the moment. (On an iPhone download an app like Fstream to listen to this MP3).
You’ll hear the rain drops get heavier, some plopping on the phone.
Finally, I was getting damp so I turned off the recorder and walked down the hill back to a dry kitchen and cup of tea.
But the birds kept singing. ?
